Intelligence settings

Open Settings > Intelligence to review the local components behind captions, transcripts, and meaning-based search.

  • Grove Vision analyzes photos and video frames.
  • Grove Listen transcribes speech in audio and video.
  • Grove Find searches completed local analysis by meaning.

The pane shows readiness, storage location, notices, and available maintenance actions.

Move local intelligence​

  1. Pause analysis.
  2. Choose a new storage location.
  3. Authorize the folder if macOS asks.
  4. Keep both locations available until the move or preparation finishes.
  5. Resume analysis and confirm each component is ready.

If the intelligence drive is disconnected, analysis and natural-language search can wait until it returns. Reauthorize the same folder instead of preparing a duplicate copy unless the original location is no longer available.
