Add or remove library locations
Use Library Locations whenever you want to expand or narrow the catalog.
- Select the gear button in the Library card in the sidebar.
- Check folders or drives to add them.
- Uncheck a location to remove it from the catalog.
- Select Apply Locations.
- Confirm any removal when prompted.
Removing a location deletes that location's catalog entries, previews, captions, transcripts, keywords, and search data from Asset Grove. It does not delete the original files.
You can also manage the primary and additional locations in Asset Grove > Settings > General.
Scan after changing locations
Asset Grove begins discovering files in newly added locations. Select Scan Library if you want an immediate full check. Use Reset and Rescan only when a normal scan cannot repair a catalog problem; it clears derived catalog data and rebuilds it from the same originals.
