Reconnect an external drive
When a selected drive is disconnected, Asset Grove marks the location offline and pauses work that depends on it.
- Reconnect the same physical drive.
- Wait for macOS to mount it in Finder.
- Return to Asset Grove and allow time for the location status to refresh.
- If Authorize appears, select it and choose the same folder again.
- Run Scan Library if files do not return automatically.
If the drive name changed
macOS may mount a renamed or duplicate drive at a different path. Open Library Locations, remove the unavailable entry only after confirming the originals are safe, then add the current location.
Local intelligence on an external drive
If Grove Vision, Grove Listen, or Grove Find is stored externally, that drive must also be connected. Open Settings > Intelligence to reauthorize or change its storage location.
Asset Grove never deletes originals when a drive goes offline or a catalog location is removed.
